Day 1: Arrival in Tel Aviv

Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Jaffa - Caesarea - Haifa - Acre - Sea of Galilee

After breakfast a short tour of Tel Aviv to view some highlights of this lively and modern city. Continue to Jaffa to see the ancient port city where the story of Jonah the prophet began. We visit the artists’ quarter, the house of Simon the Tanner and the Church of St. Peter. Heading northbound to Caesarea, the fortified harbor city that was built 2000 years ago by King Herod, we visit the Roman amphitheatre, the ancient aquaduct, the fortress and the old harbor area. On to Haifa via the Mukhraka, also called the Horns of Carmel mountain, to view the site where Elijah fought the false prophets. On Mount Carmel, we will pass Stella Maris, the Carmelite Monastery, the Chapel of the Holy Family and Elijah’s Cave. A short journey will take us to Acre, an ancient Crusader city and one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Visit the subterranean Crusader Quarter, the impressive Turkish Kahn and the ancient harbor. On to the Galilee region for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Sea of Galilee - Golan Heights - Caesarea Philippi

After breakfast we drive via the home of Mary Magdalene to the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered his Sermon on the Mount. Then we take a short journey to Capernaum, the place where Jesus recruited his followers. We will see the remains of the House of Peter and the ancient synagogue where Jesus preached to the multitudes. Continue to Tabgha on the shore of the Sea of Galilee and visit the site of the miracle of the Loaves and Fishes. Visit the Church of St. Peter, where Peter got his primacy from the Lord and where the Rock of Mensa Christi is located. Head north to Golan Heights to visit the Banias. also known as Caesarea Philipi. Return to Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Nazareth - Beit She’an - Jericho - Jerusalem

Start the day with a morning boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Visit the ancient wooden boat, which is said to date back to the times of Jesus. Then a visit the baptismal site on the Jordan River and continue to Cana, the place where Jesus performed his first miracle – changing water into wine. A short drive will take us to Nazareth via Mary’s Well, the site where the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary. In Nazareth we visit the Basilica of the Annunciation. On to Mount Tabor to enjoy the spectacular view of the Galilee and visit the Church of Transfiguration, where Jesus was transfigured in the presence of Peter, James and John. We continue through the Jordan Valley to Jericho, the biblical oldest city, from where we will enjoy a view of the Mount of Temptation. Continue to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Jerusalem

Enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the city from the Mount of Olives. We will walk down the hill to the Church of Pater Noster and the Chapel of Ascension, then on to the Church of All Nations in the Garden of Gethsemane, the site of the Rock of Agony, the place where Jesus recited his last prayer before he was arrested. Later we will walk along the Via Dolorosa to Golgotha and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Enjoy a panoramic view of the Dome of the Rock, before continuing to the Western Wall, the holiest shrine for the Jews. Continue to the Pools of Bethesda, St. Anne’s Church, the Chapel of Flagellation and the Ecce Homo Arch. Later we will walk through the restored Jewish Quarter to Mount Zion, where we visit the Upper Room, the tomb of King David and the House of Caiaphas, where Jesus was kept the night after he was arrested. Lastly we will visit the Dormition Abbey and the Church of Peter in Gallicantu. Continue to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Jerusalem - Bethlehem

After breakfast, drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, built over the site where Jesus was born. A short drive will take us to Ein Kerem to see the birthplace of John the Baptist and the site of the Visitation, which commemorates the meeting between Mary and her cousin Elisabeth, the Mother of John the Baptist. Continue back to Jerusalem to visit the Israel Museum, including the Shrine of the Book and the Dead Sea Scrolls, the oldest Bible in the world, and the impressive model of Jerusalem in the Second Temple Period. Then we will return to Jerusalem for a visit to Yad Vashem, the famous Holocaust museum. Overnight and farewell dinner in Jerusalem.

Day 7: Departure

Transfer from your hotel to the airport for your departure flight.
